U.A.E(United Arab Emirates)

My husband and I went to Dubai with both mothers.

This beach is called “jumeirah beach”　

Behind of this Arabian man is “Burj Al Arab hotel”. The hotel is 7 stars hotel.  

This is the highest building in the world. The name is “Burj Khalifa”. The height is 828m.

We went to the observation floor to see the scenery.

　Dubai city developed these 10 years and the out side of the city is desert.      Both mothers　are fine !

There is a big aquarium in Dubai mall shopping center.

   In front of Dubai mall, there is a fountain and we enjoyed the beautiful fountain show 2 days in a row.

We saw this fountain show from a café of a book shop (Kinokuniya Book shop) on the 2^nd floor.

Everybody can see the show free of charge.

　　After we saw the show from the café, we also enjoyed the show from the down area too. It was dynamic!

We enjoyed seeing illuminated buildings and trees.

　Left photo is famous island that is called Palm Jumeirah (Man-made island). Many famous movie stars have a second house in this island. At the end of this island, there is a huge hotel( Atlantis the palm hotel)

　　We took a monorail from gateway station to this hotel. This monorail doesn’t have a driver so our mothers sat at the seat in the top car. They enjoyed the scenery^^;.

　We stopped by one of big shopping mall(mall of the emirates)

　  In this mall, there is a snow land! The weather in U.A.E is hot through the year so this inside ski course is popular among kids.

　In Dubai, recently new metro system was started. All metro station looks same and very clean. Even the price of taxi is not expensive compare to Japan, metro is very fast and reasonable to go for a long distance. 

　The center of Dubai city has high way road and one road has 7-8 car lanes. It’s good for driving but it’s hard to cross the road.

The east side of Dubai has old town. There is a small boat as public transportation which is called “Abra” between creek. We went to U.A.E in January so it wasn’t hot but if we go other season, it might be too hot to take this boat.

“Deira old souq “ is called Spice souq. Souq means market. We saw many ladies who wore Arabian black outfit.

We went to “Gold souq” too. Both mothers bought Chain necklace!

We went to Egypt 2 years ago. At that time, big demo was happened there and we couldn’t go shopping at the center of Cairo. In Egypt, perfume bottle is popular as souvenir but my mother-in-law couldn’t buy enough 2 years ago. So when we happened to find this shop she was so happy!

U.A.E has 7 Emirates and we went to 4 of them this time. The capital Emirate of U.A.E is Abudhabi .

We took Etihad Airways from Japan to U.A.E. We arrived at Abudhabi International Airport.

The middle photo is a vending machine. You can get fresh orange juice from this machine.

Left photo is “sheikh zayed bin al nahyan mosuque” The weather wasn’t good on that day. If weather was fine, I could take more nice photos with white mosuque and blue sky.

Ajman Emirate is the smallest emirate in U.A.E. We stopped by a fish port.  

Sharjah Emirate in the 3^rd biggest emirates in U.A.E.

We visited King Faisal Mosque and central market.

Vegetables and fruits looked very fresh in a grocery store in Dubai.

The prices are almost same as that of in Japan.

In the guide book that I had, there is a sight seeing ferry though nobody knew that. I asked taxi driver to search and take us to that ferry terminal. As a result we could take a ferry boat with just only us!  The same as one hour charter sight seeing!

This day was all free time day so we enjoyed visiting many places by ourselves.

　In the old town area, there are some places to worth visiting.

We ate western breakfast and enjoyed Arabian dinner as well.

    We ate Japanese food once at the lunch time.             Suites were always delicious!

I didn’t buy souvenir in U.A.E since the prices were expensive and most of things were imported from other countries. These items that I got from air plain and hotel were useful to give to my friends with chocolates^^;.
